So I haven't written in about seventeen years! Well, a new name has been established, Tales From the Blystone Cottage. It seems appropriate because there are usually good stories that come from Jake and I just sitting at the house.
This weekend we traveled to Alabama to see our wonderful friends, Katy and Stephen, get married. The wedding was amazing, and everyone there seemed to have a great time, even the mosquitoes!! Not everyone was affected by their presence, actually I think only a few of us were. Lucky for me, I came away with 20+ bites on my legs alone!! Oh man, oh man! It doesn't help that I have the self control of a 5 year old with chicken pox. The whelps continue to grow despite my valid attempts not to scratch!
Back to wedding though, because it was beautiful. Katy was stunning and absolutely the most laid back bride ever. The reception was picturesque in the Alabama fields at sunset. Flowers were everywhere along with good food and fun! I very much enjoy occasions that get the gang back together. Can't wait until September for girl's weekend!
Updates: I am starting back to school. If everything goes as planned, and it never does, I will be graduating in December 2012 with a Master's in Nursing. My specialties will be Women's Health Nurse Practioner and Adult Nurse Practioner. I kind of feel like a grown up. My mother reminded me that there are no "date parties" in grad school. I was slightly bummed!!
Jake still thoroughly enjoys his job. It is nice seeing look forward to starting his day, after his cup of coffee atleast. But we are both excited for a small gettaway before school kicks into gear, so we are headed to New Orleans! So pumped!
Well, sorry so long. I am just making up for lost time!
